Hardscape Installation
We strive to achieve thriving and creative, high quality landscapes which meet the expectations of our clients, yet deliver on our promise. We believe in sustainable landscape methods and responsible land stewardship.
Once the landscape design process has been completed, accompanied by an itemized estimate, we can proceed with scheduling your installation. The hardscape portion will be addressed first, followed by the planting installation. Whether the project is created as a whole, or phased, depends on your budget and preferences, and available scheduling. We are blessed with loyal clients, and a strong demand for our services.

Phases of Installation
The hardscape phase of the installation starts with grading, contouring, assessing drainage, and installing the infrastructure for utilities such as irrigation and electrical. Trusted subcontractors are often used for portions of the hardscape. If there are existing plantings, they may need to be edited, with unsuitable, invasive or ailing plants to be thoroughly removed.
Subsequently, the hardscape features, such as seating areas, retaining or terracing walls, paths, pergolas and other structures will be built. In the Mid-Columbia, one often frequents different outdoor places for sitting or eating during the course of the year, in tune with the changing seasons and weather. Prior to the plant installation (softscape), the soil will be amended thoroughly using organic methods. We propagate or grow on most of the plants in our own growing facility, and we also have a small container tree nursery. We do not retail our plants to the public as we exclusively use them in our landscape installations.

Stone
Our specialty, besides plantings, is old-world stonework. We employ our own stonemasons, and have decades of experience in hand building dry-stack retaining and sitting walls, stone patios and paths, and other stone details. We prefer to source our stone locally as feasible. Natural stone is beautiful, low-maintenance and exceptionally durable.
